Lazy Oaf x The Refinery: Creative Workshops in Store

Last Saturday the downstairs of our store turned into an episode of Art Attack as we hosted free creative workshops as part of Carnaby Street's The Refinery event taking over independent shops in the area. First up was ceramic artist and illustrator Charlotte Mei who ran her popular Clay Club workshop inspiring attendees to turn lumps of clay into hand painted pottery pieces with our favourite design winning £50 to spend in store. Our winner was Dom Wong who was Bound 2 to pick up the prize with his clay creation of Kanye West that had a surprisingly uncanny resemblance to Yeezy considering he only have two hours to make it.

Next up was Lizzie King who bought the party to the store in paper form with her tropical piñata workshop where attendees could build and take home their own Mexican masterpieces. While the brief was to make either a watermelon or pineapple, guests were creative as ever walking away with pepperoni pizza piñatas and paper pineapple rucksacks, a workshop first for Lizzie. Want us to do more creative workshops in store? Email any ideas over to info@lazyoaf.com and we'll try and make it happen.
