Lazy Loves: Kate Nash
Brit award winning London musician Kate Nash has been filling our ears with guitar pop melodies since 2007; we have fond memories of dancing around to hits from her album Made of Bricks in our uni years. For 2013, Kate has returned with a new album Girl Talk and is currently embarking on a world tour with her all-girl band. A front row favourite at fashion weeks, Kate is also recognised for her unique, pin-up girl style so we're no doubt excited to see her rocking a whole array of Lazy Oaf SS13 designs on her summer tour. We caught up with Kate to chat Cheetos, Hawaiian holidays, Fluffy the bunny and her fave Lazy Oaf designs, naturally. Photography by Alice Baxley My name is: Kate Nash You will mostly find me: Traveling, snacking, playing bass, watching Breaking Bad or Arrested Development on Netflix or playing shows. My favourite things to wear from the Lazy Oaf Summer '13 Collection are: I love the Love Money Pizza Crop Shirt, Hater Babydoll Top, Lots of Love Cap, Oh Boy Slob T-shirt and the Lazy Oaf x Kickers Kick Lazy Brogues.
My top outfit to wear on stage is: An Alice Palmer dress with white stripes down either side, my Underground creepers, black fishnets, a sheer body undergarment from American Apparel and a âgirls are greatâ ring with silver glitter that a fan gave to me!The tour-time snack I can't live without:
CHEETOS Crunchy Cheese Flavored Snacks, avocados and LAY'S Limon Flavored Potato Chips.
This summer I am looking forward to:Going to Hawaii!! Iâm going on a holiday there with my friend. Iâm gonna try surfing! Iâm also excited about playing Reading and Leeds this August.
5 things I am loving right now: FIDLAR, Mac DeMarco, Dolly Parton, wild rice salad that my sister made and aliens! One thing that really pisses me off right now: I was at this music industry event and David Cameron was there. He did a talk about how he cares about the arts and wants to talk about what the music industry needs. He then proceeded to leave immediately. I don't think that cutting arts funding is caring about the arts. I believe the music industry has been monopolised and if you want to know what people need, then you need to listen to people. You need to talk to people and not leave events full of industry people that want to give you their opinion and hear your response. If I could go on a date with anyone tonight it would be: Jennifer Lawrence The best thing I've seen on the internet this week is: UFO disclosure from the Canadian Defence Minister. I couldn't survive without: Fluffy, my bunny rabbit. She is my best friend. Follow me at: Instagram: @havingapartywithkatenash Twitter: @katenash www.myignorantyouth.com
