It is rare to stumble across a brand and instantly fall in love with everything about them but that is just what happened when we were introduced to the world of Fred Flare. It was no doubt love at first site. For those of you who don't know, Fred Flare hold a big online emporium in the US of A packed full of magical treats. Much like us, owners Keith Carollo and Chris Bick love anything colourful, witty and preferably fast food orientated. They even stock yours truly (definitely a sign of excellent taste).
So anyway as we think they are so freakin awesome here are 5 reasons you can't help but love the Flare of Fred.
Number 1: The Videos
Online shopping can be a lot of fun but once you've faffed around with verifying your Visa and received your purchase confirmation you can be left feeling a bit lost. Well that certainly won't be the case on Fred Flare as they have a whole selection of videos to keep you amused for hours - our personal office favourite was the Valentines animation. Above you can see their most recent video of brand new amaziiing French singer Sliimy opening a selection of gifts sent for him from friends of Flare; keep your eyes peeled for the Oaf...
Number two: The Shop
Fred Flare have now opened their very own shop in Brooklyn appropriately called Store Cute and by Joe does it look super fly. You can even get a virtual tour of their shop on their site; can someone send us on a plane to NY now pleasssse?!!!
Number 3: The Donut Fest
As you are probably aware, here at Lazy Oaf we are pretty much obsessed with donuts! Jerry and Alex were even treated to a selection of special ones with faces (thanks to a grand bakery on the Essex Road) for our birthday's! So when we saw Fred Flare had a entire Donut Fest our hearts skipped a beat. Keith set himself the massive challenge of going without sweet things for the whole of September but something tells us he just wouldn't have been able to resist these delicious rings of sugary wonder.
Number 4: The Art
The name Fred Flare actually derived from Fred Astaire as Chris and Keith believe that design should be an entertaining as an old musical. Well they have definitely kept to their word as the site is rammed full of eye candy. Our most recent favourite was the illustration contributed by fellow Brit and friend of Lazy Oaf Gemma Correll who drew new Fred Flare employee Bee in an outifit for every day of the week.

Number 5: Charlie the Cat
Here at Lazy Oaf we would kill to have an office pet so when we saw that Fred Flare have their own fluffy white kitty we were major jealous. And Charlie the cat is not just a pretty face oh no, he even writes his own blogs; his most recent one pays homage to the 13 year old fashion icon Tavi.
So thank you FF for continuing to fill our lunch breaks with so so much joy and there is a lot more to come no doubt.
