For our latest womenswear Spring editorial, we've collaborated with Barcelona-based illustrator, artistic director and designer David Mendez Alonso. Using his signature bold shapes and vibrant colours, David has created a playful, physical universe to house our Spring collection, which continues through to our Ganton Street store as an installation and window display.
Through his work, David rejects the concept of 'growing up' to focus on spontaneity, thinking outside of the box and continued use of the imagination, calling his portfolio (which spans installations, sculptures, ceramics and textiles) a 'playground'. We talked to David about the inspiration behind his work for our Spring editorial, creating conversations with colour, and why you should always stay playful.
