Our DIY attitude is a core part of life at Lazy Oaf - since day one we’ve been mucking in as a team, using whatever we can get our mitts on and making something great. For our Spring 2023 campaign, we wanted to celebrate this part of our DNA, while also platforming emerging artists who are embodying DIY in their own innovative art styles.
With support from the incredible careers resource, Creative Lives in Progress, we enlisted the help of five just-getting-started artists to join us as the cast and crew of our campaign shoot, each armed with their own unique style and skill set across their respective crafts, including: hairstyling, makeup artistry, photography, videography and styling. They came down to our studio in North London and worked together to create a campaign which really spotlights their individual creativity and everything we’re about as a brand.
Now that you’ve seen the pics and vids, it’s time to chat with the cast and crew so you can get to know them a little more and (if you fancy), give them a follow so you can keep up with them and their work.
If you’re just starting out and looking for tips on how to get into the creative industry, check out careers resource Creative Lives in Progress. As well as sharing advice on everything from networking to creating a great CV or portfolio, they also host free monthly events, and have an Opportunities Board full of internships, entry-level jobs, access schemes and much more.
